Pinpoint Test F: C1266: Notes
Refer to Vehicle Dynamic Systems for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation
The ABS module, hydraulic pump and solenoid valves require an operating voltage between 10 and 17 volts. The parking brake system requires an operating voltage of 9 volts or higher. The ABS module receives this voltage from the BJB. The ABS module has 2 ground circuits, one logic ground and one pump motor ground.
Fused battery voltage is supplied to the ABS module for the valves by the Battery Junction Box (BJB).
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| C1266 | ABS Valve Power Relay Circuit Failure | This DTC sets in the ignition cycle if the ABS module detects an open or a short to ground on the valve power feed circuit. DTCs set in the ignition cycle can only be cleared by cycling the ignition off and on once the fault has been corrected. |
Possible Causes
- Fuses
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- ABS module
Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Make sure the vehicle battery terminals and cables are free of any corrosion and other contaminants.
- Make sure the vehicle battery terminals are tightened to their correct torque specifications.
- Make sure BJB fuse 68 (30A) is OK.
