DTC U0423: Invalid Data Received from Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module: Action

This DTC sets in the ABS module if the traction control switch message from the IPC contains "invalid" instead of actual switch information. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and REPAIR all non-network DTCs in the IPC. REFER to INFORMATION CENTER - INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER AND WARNING CHIMES (1 OF 2) or INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER AND WARNING CHIMES (2 OF 2) . If no IPC DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all IPC electrical connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
