Diagnostic Aids

DTC U053C:00 indicates a concern with the IPMB or vehicle communications network. The module reporting this DTC is not the problem module. Do not install a new PSCM as part of the repair for DTC U053C:00.

The presence of this DTC prevents the trailer back up assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during a trailer back up assist event, the event is terminated and the trailer back up assist system is deactivated.
