P07F5 Transmission Range Control Module System Voltage Low If DTC P07F5 is set along with DTC P0562 and/or P1397, REFER to: Charging System - 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) - MI4 . REFER to: Charging System - 2.3L EcoBoost (201kW/273PS) . CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If DTC P07F5 is the only DTC present, GO to Pinpoint Test F
P0860 Gear Shift Control Module "A" Communication Circuit This DTC by itself points to an issue with the redundant communication wire between the GSM and the TRCM. Perform the network test. If DTC (diagnostic trouble code) P0860 returns, GO to Pinpoint Test H
P0861 Gear Shift Control Module "A" Communication Circuit Low This DTC by itself points to an issue with the redundant communication wire between the GSM and the TRCM. Perform the network test. If DTC (diagnostic trouble code) P0861 returns, GO to Pinpoint Test H
P0862 Gear Shift Control Module "A" Communication Circuit High This DTC by itself points to an issue with the redundant communication wire between the GSM and the TRCM. Perform the network test. If DTC (diagnostic trouble code) P08621 returns, GO to Pinpoint Test H
P0A3F Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit This DTC indicates that one or both of the rotary position sensors have failed. The transmission may be stuck in Park. Reprogram the TRCM, clear the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new TRCM, REFER to: Transmission Range Control Module (TRCM) .
P177A Transmission Range Select Motor If DTC P177B is present, diagnose this DTC first. This DTC indicates the TRCM did not achieve or hold the position commanded by the PCM. INSPECT the selector lever cable routing and adjustment. REFER to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment . If the cable is adjusted correctly, apply the park brake and disconnect selector lever cable from the manual control lever. Manually move the manual control lever from Park to Drive and back to Park. If there is little or no resistance, INSPECT the manual valve detent spring. If the manual lever has excessive resistance or sticks then further investigation is required. The park system, manual valve and/or TR sensor assembly may have an issue. REFER to: Transmission Range (TR) Sensor .
P177B Transmission Range Select Motor Current Too High This DTC indicates the TRCM encountered high resistance up to and including blockage of movement of the TRCM lever. GO to Pinpoint Test G
P177C Default Position Motor This DTC may set from a low battery condition. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If TRCM DTC P07F5 is present, GO to Pinpoint Test F This DTC, P177C indicates the default to park mechanism has failed. Default to Park disabled or transmission is stuck in Park. May set DTC P177D, P177E and/or P0A3F. RERUN the TRCM self-test. If DTC P177C returns, INSTALL a new TRCM, REFER to: Transmission Range Control Module (TRCM) .
P177D Default Position Motor Current Too High This DTC indicates the default to park motor current was too high. Default to Park disabled or transmission is stuck in Park. Allow the system to cool. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test G
P177E Default Position Sensor Range/Performance This DTC indicates that one or both of the sensors on the default mechanism have failed. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new TRCM, REFER to: Transmission Range Control Module (TRCM) .
P2533 Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit This DTC indicates the redundant run/start ignition circuit is intermittent. INSPECT the TRCM and BCM connectors for damaged or pushed-out terminals. If DTCs B108A:01 and/or B1142:29 are present, REFER to: Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components .
P2534 Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit Low This DTC indicates the redundant run/start ignition circuit is shorted to ground. INSPECT the TRCM and BCM connectors for damaged or pushed-out terminals. If DTCs B108A:01 and/or B1142:29 are present, REFER to: Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components .
P2535 Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit High This DTC indicates the redundant run/start ignition circuit is shorted to power. INSPECT the TRCM and BCM connectors for damaged or pushed-out terminals. If DTCs B108A:01 and/or B1142:29 are present, REFER to: Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components .
U0073 Control Module Communication Bus "A" Off INSPECT the connectors for damaged or pushed-out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the Network Test. If the DTC returns, REFER to: Communications Network .
