DTC B1016: Status Switch: Action

This DTC sets if the SASM logic power circuit current is greater than 1.5A and less than 2.0A for at least 1 second or the current is greater than 2.0A for less than 1 second. CARRY OUT the SASM Module Reset routine. CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. CLEAR the DTC and CARRY OUT the SASM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new SASM - clockspring assembly. REFER to Supplemental Restraint System article.
