Catalyst Monitor Sensor: Installation

Left Hand Catalyst Monitor Sensor (CMS)
- 1.
Install the LH CMS.- Apply a light coat of high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant to the CMS threads prior to installation.
- Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque. Refer to the Torque Wrench Adapter Formulas in the chart below.
- Using the Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Socket, tighten to 46 Nm (34 lb-ft).
Right Hand Catalyst Monitor Sensor (CMS)

Install the RH CMS.- Apply a light coat of high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant to the CMS threads prior to installation.
- Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque. Refer to the Torque Wrench Adapter Formulas in the chart below.
- Using the Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Socket, tighten to 46 Nm (34 lb-ft).
