Front Door Alignment

Inspection 

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.
  1. Inspect the front door-to-body dimensions.

Adjustment 

All alignments 

  1. Open the door.

  2. Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

    Front door in and out, up and down alignment 

  3. Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

  4. Adjust the door as required.

  5. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

    Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  6. Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

  7. Carefully close the door.

  8. Adjust the door as required.

  9. Carefully open the door.

  10. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque: 1.: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm) 2.: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

    All alignments 

  11. Install the striker assembly.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  12. Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the striker assembly. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

  13. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  14. Inspect the body-to-front door dimensions.
