Component Testing
NOTE:
On 626 models, air control door positions are checked by applying vacuum to thermo sensor.
- When engine is cold, air control door in snorkel should be closed. When engine is at normal operating temperature, air door should be open. Check air control door (and linkage on 626) for binding of wear.
- If equipped with bi-metallic spring, push on door (with engine cold and door in closed position), to ensure spring tension is adequate enough to prevent door from being blown open by incoming air.
