Idle Switch (626)

  1. Bring engine to operating temperature and run at idle. Connect tachometer to engine. Disconnect electrical connector from switch. Connect positive voltmeter lead to Lt. Green/Black switch terminal, and connect negative lead to Lt. Green/Red terminal.
  2. Increase engine speed to 2100 RPM and decelerate gradually. During deceleration, voltmeter should read below 1.5 volts when engine speed is above 1200 RPM, and 12 volts when below 1200 RPM. Turn adjusting screw to obtain proper readings.
