Evaporation Line: Non-Turbo
- Disconnect evaporation hose leading to fuel tank from canister. Connect detached hose to "U" tube type pressure gauge filled with water. See Fig 1 .
- Gradually apply low air pressure into "U" tube so difference of water level reaches 14" (356 mm).
- Bind inlet of "U" tube and leave bound for 5 minutes. If water level drops no more than 1" (25 mm) after 5 minutes, evaporation hose is in good condition. If not, check hose, fuel tank, fuel line, and filler cap for leaks.
