Security Code 1
Security light will not flash or remains out. This is the Pre-Arming phase. The ignition switch is off and at least one "Door" is open.
- Check control unit connections "Q" and "J". There should be 12 Volts. If this is ok, disconnect control unit connector and go to step 2. If this is not ok, there is a faulty control unit power source or faulty control unit ground
- Check ignition switch key operation. Check voltage between "A" and "J" (ignition switch). There should be 0 Volts. With ignition switch ON there should be 12 Volts and with it "OFF" there should be 0 Volts. If this is not ok, there is a faulty ignition switch or faulty ignition switch circuit. Check voltage between "B" and "J" (key reminder switch). When ignition switch is switched from ON to OFF, there should be 12 Volts. With key removed, there should be 0 Volts. If this is ok, go to step 3. If this is not ok, there is a faulty ignition switch or ignition switch circuit.
- Check if security lights comes on. Ground "M" terminal. If this is ok, go to step 4. If this is not ok, there is a faulty security light or security light circuit.
- Check door switch operation. Interior light switch "DOOR". All doors are closed. Check voltage between "H" and "J" by opening doors one by one. With door open there should be 0 Volts and with it closed there should be 12 Volts. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "DOOR" switch,"DOOR" switch circuit, "DOOR" switch and door alignment. Check voltage between "K" and "J" by opening and closing rear hatch with luggage compartment switch ON. With rear hatch open there should be 0 Volts and with it closed there should be 12 Volts. If this is ok, go to step 5. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "DOOR" switch,"DOOR" switch circuit, "DOOR" switch and door alignment.
- If everything mentioned above is ok, the control unit is faulty.
