Security Code 3

Security light will not come on. This is the Arming phase. The ignition switch is off and "Door" is locked and closed. Check if security light flashes when unlocking and opening a door. If it does not See SECURITY CODE 1. Check if security light goes out when closing unlocked door. If it does not See SECURITY CODE 2. Disconnect control unit connector.

1. Check "DOOR" lock link switch operation. Lock doors and check for continuity between "F" and "J" by locking and unlocking each door. When door is locked there should be no continuity and when unlocked there should be continuity. If this is ok, go to step 2. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "LOCK LINK" switch, "LOCK LINK" switch circuit, "LOCK LINK" switch alignment.
2. Check "DOOR" key cylinder switch operation. With key removed from door and key cylinder check for continuity between "D" and "F" by locking doors one by one with key. When door is neutral or locked there should be no continuity and when unlocked there should be continuity. If this is ok, go to step 3. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "KEY CYLINDER" switch, "KEY CYLINDER" switch circuit, "KEY CYLINDER" switch alignment.
3. If everything mentioned above is ok, the control unit is faulty.
