Barometric Pressure Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove rubber cap and attach vacuum pump to port on sensor.
2. Turn ignition switch to ``On.''
3. Check voltage between each terminal and ground, Fig. 52. Voltage should be approximately 12 volts at terminal A, 1.4-4.9 volts at terminal B, less than 1.5 volts at terminal C and 4.5-5.5 volts at terminal D.
4. If voltage is not within specifications for terminal A, C or D, check wiring harness.
5. If voltages at terminals A, C and D are within specifications but voltage at terminal B is not, replace atmospheric pressure switch.
