Idle-Up Solenoid Valve

  1. The idle-up solenoid valve is located at the opposite end of vacuum hose connected to the servo diaphragm. Remove idle-up solenoid valve.
  2. Connect hoses to both ports of idle-up solenoid valve. Blow air through side port and ensure air comes out of valve air filter.
  3. Apply battery voltage and ground to valve with jumper wires. Blow air through side port and ensure that air comes out of straight port. Replace idle-up solenoid valve if found defective.
