Engine Compression

- Ensure battery is fully charged. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Allow engine to cool for 10 minutes to reduce exhaust manifold temperature. Remove front and rear trailing-side spark plugs. Disconnect crank angle sensor connector.
- Connect Compression Tester (49 F018 9A0) to front rotor housing and battery. Fully depress accelerator pedal and crank engine for 5-10 seconds. Compression of the 3 combustion chambers should be at least 85 psi (6.0 kg/cm2 ). Use the same procedure to check rear chambers.
