Knock Sensor (Turbo)

- Warm engine to operating temperature. Connect a timing light and watch timing mark. Using plastic hammer, tap engine hoist bracket. Timing should not move.
- Using a jumper wire, ground single pin Green connector near air filter. Tap engine hoist bracket with hammer. If timing does not retard, replace knock sensor. Disconnect jumper wire.
- Test drive vehicle. If knocking still occurs, refer to PIN VOLTAGE CHART S and SENSOR RANGE CHARTS articles.
