Data Link Connector: Testing and Inspection

Check Connector:






The Test Connector is a green, one pin connector located in the engine compartment. When grounded, the test connector activates the self-diagnostic system and causes the dash mounted "CHECK" light to flash malfunction codes.

Test connector signal can be checked at ECU terminal 1I, ignition switch "ON." With test connector grounded, terminal voltage should be below 1.5V. With connector not grounded, voltage should be above 10.5V. If not as specified, check wiring between test connector and ECU.
