Electric Load Sensor: Description and Operation

Central Processing Unit (CPU):

The Central Processing Unit (CPU), located under the left side of the dash, detects electrical loads and signals the ECU to stabilize engine idle. The CPU detects these loads:

Load Condition

Headlights "ON" (low or high beam)
Rear defroster "ON"
Blower motor Fan switch high or super high position
