EGR Position Sensor
- Disconnect vacuum hose from EGR valve and connect vacuum pump. Disconnect EGR position sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Check voltage of each terminal. See Fig 1 . See EGR POSITION SENSOR VOLTAGE table.
- If voltage reading is not as specified at terminals "B" and "C", check wiring harness and ECU terminals 1D, 1F and 1G. See PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS article.
- If voltage is not as specified at terminal "A", check wiring harness and ECU. Disconnect sensor connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between sensor terminals while applying 6 in. Hg to EGR control valve. See EGR POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table.

| "A" | .7 | 4.7 |
| "B" | Less Than 1.5 | Less Than 1.5 |
| "C" | 4.5-5.5 | 4.5-5.5 |
