Abs-7 - Shorted Isolation Solenoid Ground Circuit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect solenoid valve harness connector from solenoid valve connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between isolation solenoid terminal and ground terminal of solenoid valve connector. See Figure . If resistance is 3-6 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 3 ohms, replace hydraulic unit.
- Leave solenoid valve harness connector disconnected. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector. Check resistance between ABS control unit harness connector terminal "C" and chassis ground. See Figure .
- If resistance is less than 20,000 ohms, repair short between solenoid valve and ABS control unit. Reconnect ABS control unit and solenoid valve. If resistance is greater than 20,000 ohms, replace ABS control unit.
