Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:






1. Turn manual shaft to "N" position.
2. Loosen switch mounting bolts.
3. Align holes of inhibitor switch and manual shaft lever by inserting a pin of approximately 0.079 in (2.0 mm) OD.
4. Torque mounting bolts to 69 - 95 in lb (8 - 11 Nm).
5. Recheck continuity across connector terminals. If not correct, replace switch.
6. Install selector lever and torque to 33 - 47 ft lb (44 - 64 Nm).
