Barometric Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation
PURPOSEDetects changes in barometric pressure corresponding to changes in altitude from sea level. Changes are converted to an electrical signal and utilized by the ECU primarily in its calculations of fuel injection quantity, idle speed, ignition timing, turbo control, and purge control.
