Circuit Diagram:

PURPOSE
The igniter is a PCME controlled switch regulating current flow through coil primary circuits.

LOCATION
Integral with distributor assembly.

OPERATION
Each time current flow is interrupted, high voltage is induced to fire the spark plugs. Except for initial setting, timing is PCME controlled.
