Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

IGNITION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the harness connector from the ignition control module.
2. Remove the screws retaining the ignition control module assembly to the radiator support bracket.
3. Remove the screws from the ignition control module assembly and remove from the heatsink.

IGNITION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION
1. Coat the metal base of the ignition control module uniformly with silicone dielectric compound, approximately 0.80 mm (1/32 in) thick.
2. Position the ignition control module onto the heatsink.

Tightening torque: 1.7-4.0 Nm (15-35 in.lb.)

3. Install the ignition control module assembly on the radiator support.
4. Connect the harness connector to the ignition control module.
