Computed Timing Check

Connect timing light, and check ignition timing. See IGNITION TIMING in ADJUSTMENTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. Perform the following procedure as applicable:

If ignition timing is not correct, go to CIRCUIT TEST PA (3.0L), CIRCUIT TEST PB (2.3L).
If engine starts and then stalls, go to CIRCUIT TEST S.
If engine will not start, go to CIRCUIT TEST AA (3.0L), CIRCUIT TEST AB (2.3L).
