Accelerated Warm-Up System (AWS) Valve

Make sure fast idle cam has released throttle lever. See Fig 1 . Disconnect AWS valve electrical connector. Connect ohmmeter to AWS valve 2-wire connector. See Fig 3 . Measure resistance. Resistance should be 9.3-11.3 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not within specification, replace AWS valve.
