Cruise Control Switch

WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. DO NOT  apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
  1. Remove steering wheel cover (or air bag if equipped). See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. With specified button pressed, check resistance between specified terminals of cruise control switch connector. See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE TEST  . SeeFig 1 .
  2. If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control switch. If resistance is as specified, remove steering wheel and check slip rings and wiring between cruise control switch and cruise control unit.
