Test computerized engine control system for stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Repair codes and related problems prior to cruise control diagnosis. For additional information, see G-TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
NOTE:
Before trouble shooting system, perform complete visual inspection of system. Repair as necessary. If all connections and components appear to be okay, go to test procedure for appropriate symptom. See DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY.
