Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Adjustment
1. Move the manual shaft to N position.




2. Loosen the transmission range switch mounting bolts.




3. Align the holes of the transmission range switch and the manual shaft lever and insert an approx. 4.0 mm ( 0.157 in ) outer diameter pin through the holes.
4. Tighten the mounting bolts, and remove the pin.

Tightening Torque: 2.5-3.9 Nm (22-34 in.lb.)

5. Recheck the continuity of the transmission range switch.
6. It not correct, replace the transmission range switch.




7. Connect the control linkage.

Tightening Torque: 30-39 Nm (22-28 ft.lb.)
