1996 Models

  1. Remove ignition key and close all doors. Open driver's door. If warning systems turn off, go to next step. If warning systems do not turn off, restart ID code entering procedure.
  2. Insert ignition key. Turn ignition to ON position, then to LOCK position. Remove ignition key. Repeat this step 3 times.
  3. If Central Processing Unit (CPU) buzzer sounds once, go to next step. If CPU buzzer does not sound or sounds more than once, wait 30 seconds and return to step 1).
  4. Press transmitter button 2 times within 5 seconds. If CPU buzzer sounds once, go to next step. If CPU buzzer does not sound or sounds more than once, wait 5 seconds and return to step 1).
  5. If using 1 transmitter, go to next step. If using more than 1 transmitter, go to step 7).
  6. Wait 5 seconds. If CPU buzzer sounds 4 times, procedure is complete. If CPU buzzer does not sound 4 times, return to step 1).
  7. Press transmitter button 2 times within 5 seconds. If CPU buzzer sounds once, go to next step. If CPU buzzer does not sound or sounds more than once, wait 5 seconds and return to step 1).
  8. If there is a third transmitter, go to next step. If there is not a third transmitter, go to step 1).
  9. Press transmitter button 2 times within 5 seconds. If CPU buzzer does not sound or sounds more than once, wait 5 seconds and return to step 1). If buzzer sounds once, go to next step.
  10. Wait 5 seconds. If CPU buzzer sounds 4 times, procedure is complete. If CPU buzzer does not sound 4 times, return to step 1).
