Pump Motor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Mazda Millenia and 1995 Mazda Millenia. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect pump motor/hydraulic unit 2-pin connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals of pump motor/hydraulic unit connector. Resistance should not be more than one ohm. Apply 12 volts to pump motor/hydraulic unit 2-pin connector.
  2. Pump motor should operate. If resistance is not as specified or pump motor does not operate, check wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair wiring harness as necessary. If wiring harness is okay, replace hydraulic unit.
