Temperature Control Cable

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Ford Aerostar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check temperature control cable adjustment by turning temperature control knob through its range. When knob reaches either end of range, temperature door should be heard seating against stop.
  2. If operation is not as specified, remove instrument panel upper finish panel. Remove light relays and right speaker. Place temperature control knob in full WARM position. Carefully remove cable loop from cam pin.
  3. Lift tab on White bit slot and ensure temperature control knob is at full WARM position. If control knob moved, adjust cable conduit so cable loop lines up with cam pin. Connect loop to cam pin and release tab. Install removed components, and check cable adjustment.
