Measuring Rear Axle Speed Sensor Clearance

- Measure distance "A" between sensor rotor teeth and sensor attaching surface. See Fig 1. Measure distance "B" between sensor attaching surface and sensor metal tip.
- To calculate clearance, subtract measurement "B" from measurement "A". Clearance should be.020-.047" (.5-1.2 mm). If clearance is less than specification, adjust during installation using Adjustment Shim (P049-27-155). If clearance exceeds specification, replace speed sensor.
