Cruise Control Switch
WARNING:

article for 1996 models. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
- Remove steering wheel cover (or air bag if equipped). See appropriate article:
- AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM - 1995.
- AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM - 1996.
With specified button pressed, check resistance between specified terminals of cruise control switch connector. See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE TEST table. SeeFig 1 .
2) If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control switch. If resistance is as specified, remove steering wheel and check slip rings and wiring between cruise control switch and cruise control unit.
