Theft-Deterrent Control Module Inspection: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mazda 6. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the theft-deterrent control module without disconnecting the connector.
  2. Measure the voltage at the theft-deterrent control module terminals as indicated in TERMINAL VOLTAGE (REFERENCE) .
  3. Disconnect the theft-deterrent control module connector before inspecting for continuity at terminals B, N, O, P, and T.
  4. If the parts and wiring harnesses are okay but the system still does not work properly, replace the theft-deterrent control module.
