Oil Filter Replacement

- Remove the oil filter using the filter wrench.
- Use a clean rage to wipe off the mounting surface on the oil cooler.
- Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring of new oil filter.
- Install the oil filter until the O-ring contacts the sealing surface of the oil cooler.
- Tighten the filter 3/4 turns using the filter wrench.CAUTION:
- In case you spill engine oil on the protector under the filter, wipe it off cleanly. If you fail to wipe the spilled oil, it will produce a white fume because of the heat.
- Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.
- Inspect the oil level.
- Add oil if necessary. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION .)
