Removal & Installation (Mazda6)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mazda Tribute, 2003 Mazda Protege5, 2003 Mazda Protege, 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and 2003 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration. On 2.3L models, see Fig 1. On 3.0L models, see Fig 2.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure.
    NOTE: When replacing the PCM, setup the WDS tester and perform PCM configuration. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (MAZDA6)  POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING.
