Firmly depress brake pedal with left foot, and gently depress accelerator pedal to floor with right foot. When engine speed no longer increases, quickly read RPM on tachometer and release accelerator pedal. Shift selector to "N" position. Allow engine to idle for one minute or more to cool ATF. On Millenia, perform same test for "S" position (non-hold), "S" position (HOLD), "L" position (non-hold), "L" position (HOLD), and "R" position. On MPV and 626, perform same test for "R" position, "2" position and "1" position. Engine speed should be about 2000-2500 RPM on Millenia and 626. On MPV, engine speed should be about, 2000-2400 RPM. ATF temperature should be 140-158°F (60-70°C).
