Changing Keyless Control Module Id Code

  1. Remove key from ignition. Close all doors. Open driver's door. Go to next step.
  2. NOTE: Steps  2 and  3 must be completed within 24 seconds.
  3. Insert key into ignition. Turn ignition switch to ON position, then back to LOCK position 3 times. Remove key from ignition. Go to next step.
  4. Push driver's door switch 3 times. Observe door lock actuators. They should lock, then unlock. If operation is as specified, go to step  5 . If operation is not as specified, go to next step.
  5. Check ROOM (10-amp) and R. WIPER (10-amp) fuses in underdash fuse block. Replace if necessary. If fuses are okay, repeat steps  2 and  3 one more time. If problem is still present, go to TEST NO. 3: TRANSMITTER ID CODE CANNOT BE REPROGRAMMED  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  6. Aim transmitter at keyless control module. Push any button of transmitter twice. Observe door lock actuators. They should lock, then unlock. If operation is as specified, go to next step. If operation is not as specified, push driver's door switch. Actuators should lock and unlock twice. If actuators do lock and unlock twice, go back to step  2 . If actuators do not lock and unlock twice, go to TEST NO. 3: TRANSMITTER ID CODE CANNOT BE REPROGRAMMED  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  7. If only one transmitter is available, push any button on transmitter. If more than one transmitter is available, push any button on other transmitter. Observe door lock actuators. They should lock, then unlock. If operation is as specified, repeat this step with any other available transmitters to complete programming procedure. If operation is not as specified, push driver's door switch. Actuators should lock and unlock twice. If actuators do lock and unlock twice, go back to step  2 . If actuators do not lock and unlock twice, go to TEST NO. 3: TRANSMITTER ID CODE CANNOT BE REPROGRAMMED  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
