Swing Louver Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- The swing louver is installed on the center vent and operates the right and left air distribution fins to send airflow evenly.
Structure
- The swing louver consists of a swing switch, swing louver motor, a bar, two sliders, and two louvers.
Mechanical operation
- When the swing motor rotates, the protrusion on the motor plate rotates.
- The protrusion on the motor plate moves within a groove on the bar.
- The fins of the louver move right and left because the bar, slider, and louver are synchronized.
Electric operation
- The current flows to the swing louver motor when the switch is turned on and the motor operates.
