Power Circuits

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Mazda Tribute, 2003 Mazda B4000, 2003 Mazda B3000, and 2003 Mazda B2300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM 104-pin harness connector. Connect 104-Pin Breakout Box (49-UN01-130) to PCM and PCM harness connector. See Fig 1 . Using a DVOM, check for battery voltage between ground and breakout box terminal No. 55 (KAPWR). Turn ignition to START or RUN position. Check for battery voltage between ground and breakout box terminal No. 71 (VPWR). See Fig 2 -Fig 6 . If battery voltage is not present, power is not being supplied from PCM power relay. See appropriate wiring diagram under ENGINE PERFORMANCE in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
