Removal and Installation

Remove the air bag sliding contact. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM AIR BAG SLIDING CONTACT.
Remove the multifunction switch. Refer to STEERING COLUMN MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH .
Remove the ignition switch. Refer to IGNITION SWITCH .

Disconnect the gearshift cable.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the gear shifter assembly.

Remove the bolts and the gearshift lever assembly.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
