Transmission Range Sensor
- Place gearshift lever in "N" position. Remove manual control lever. Loosen Transmission Range (TR) sensor retaining bolts. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 49-UN01-086, adjust TR sensor adjuster. See Fig 1
. Tighten TR sensor retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
. Install shift control lever, and tighten nut.
- Check for park gear engagement. Start engine and ensure indicated gear positions match transmission response. If operation is not okay, check shift cable adjustment. See SHIFT CABLE
. Verify vehicle only starts in "P" and "N" positions and back-up lights operate when in "R" position.
