Section 102 (Cruise Control System): Description

WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

Cruise control system uses a vacuum actuator to control throttle position, thus maintaining desired vehicle speed. Based on various inputs, cruise control module controls operation of actuator solenoid.
