PINPOINT TEST 3 - ENGINE DOES NOT REACH NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE

PINPOINT TEST 3	ENGINE DOES NOT REACH NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE
1	CHECK THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE Start the engine and allow the engine to idle for ten minutes. Key OFF. Feel the inlet and heater hoses and the underside of the upper radiator hose. Are the upper radiator hose and the heater hoses cold?	Yes	Replace the thermostat. See WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 2.3L for the 2.3L engine. See WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 3.0L for the 3.0L engine. See WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 4.0L for the 4.0L engine. Test the system for normal operation.
No	See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PINPOINT TEST 2: INCORRECT TEMPERATURE GAUGE INDICATION for diagnosis and testing of the engine coolant temperature gauge.

Yes

Replace the thermostat.
