DTC P2089 [AJ] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2089 OCV actuator (RH) circuit high
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The PCM monitors the OCV (RH) voltage. If the PCM detects that the OCV control voltage (calculated from OCV) is above the threshold voltage (calculated from battery positive voltage), the PCM determines that the OCV circuit has a malfunction.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • DTC is stored in PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • OCV (RH) malfunction
  • Connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power circuit between OCV (RH) terminal A and PCM terminal 2M
  • PCM malfunction
