DTC P0511 [AJ] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

IAC system malfunction |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- If the PCM detects that the IAC signal voltage is above 4.7 V
or below 1.0 V
when the IAC control duty target is within 20-100%
, the PCM determines there is an IAC circuit problem.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in the first drive cycles.
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- DTC is stored in PCM memory.

- IAC valve circuit malfunction
- Short to ground in wiring harness between IAC valve terminal A and main relay terminal 87
- Short to ground in wiring harness between IAC valve terminal B and PCM terminal 88
- Open circuit in wiring harness between IAC valve terminal A and main relay terminal 87
- Open circuit in wiring harness between IAC valve terminal B and PCM terminal 88
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between IAC valve terminal A and main relay terminal 87
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between IAC valve terminal B and PCM terminal 88
- Poor connection of IAC valve connector or PCM connector
- PCM malfunction
