DTC P2195, P2197: Notes

DTC P2195, P2197 [AJ] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2195 HO2S (Front, RH) signal stuck lean
DTC P2197 HO2S (Front, LH) signal stuck lean
DETECTION CONDITION
  • The PCM monitors the HO2S (RF, LF) output voltage when the following conditions are met. If output voltage is less than 0.45 V  for 41 s (1) /25.6 s (2) ,  the PCM determines that the HO2S (RF, LF) signal remains lean.

MONITORING CONDITION

  • Fuel injection control system status: feedback zone
  • Front HO2S sensor voltage is above 0.1 V (1)

Diagnostic support note

  • This is an intermittent monitor. (HO2S)
  • The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
  • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • HO2S (RF, LF) malfunction
  • Fuel injector malfunction
  • Insufficient fuel line pressure
  • Leakage exhaust gas
  • Air suction at intake-air system malfunction
  • Leakage fuel
  • MAF sensor malfunction
  • ECT sensor malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
