No.5 Resetting Procedure for the Immobilizer System when Replacing the related parts (PCM, Keyless Control Module, Instrument cluster, or Steering Lock Unit): Notes

Condition 

CAUTION:
  • Perform the procedures in the following order: "Ignition Key Code Erase", "Program Additional card key", "Steering lock unit programming", and "Program additional ignition key". If there is a failure in the programming, the engine may not be started.
  • When replacing only the PCM, start from Step 2. Key 1 in the procedure can be any valid key.
  • Perform the "card key programming procedure" in Step 11 only when the keyless control module is replaced.
  • Perform the "steering lock unit programming procedure" in Step 12 only when either the keyless control module or steering lock unit is replaced.
