Knock Sensor (KS) Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L5] ).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the intake manifold. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  5. Disconnect the KS connector.
  6. Remove the KS.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
